Assist the Secretary with PTA newsletters, fliers, and website updates.
Diversity and Inclusion Committee
Ensure the PTA considers the EVES community’s make-up and ensures the contributions, presence and perspectives of different groups of people are valued and integrated into PTA programming and organization.
FCPS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Mentor a student through our school-based MentorWorks program that provides students with a caring, responsible adult while focusing on helping students develop their strengths and capabilities so that the student can reach their full potential.
Citizen Advisory Committee
Provide advice to FCPS leaders by joining a Citizen Advisory Committee.
Volunteers help adult English Language for Other Languages (ESOL) students who are new to the U.S. adjust to the challenges of living in a new culture and using a new language. Volunteers should be fluent English speakers and understand American culture.
FCPS needs substitute teachers and substitute instructional assistants. Substitute teaching is a great opportunity for stay-at-home parents, retirees, college students, and anyone who wants a flexible work schedule.
FAIRFAX COUNTY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Body Safety Educator
Last year, 1,413 cases of child abuse or neglect were identified in Fairfax County. The Body Safety Program helps dampen this number by providing children in pre-school through 6th grade with the tools they need to prevent or interrupt child abuse.
